Island Coffeehouse and Books (ICH&B) is a program of the South Whidbey Commons, a 501(c)(3) organization. The vision of the Commons is to provide intergenerational gathering places for our community.

In addition to the role of the Commons, ICH&B was founded through and continues to partner closely with The South Whidbey Community Engagement Center. The role of the Community Engagement is to act as a bridge between our schools and community, and provide support for the development of programs that encompass these goals. To learn more about the work of the Community Engagement Center.

An advisory board provides ongoing support and guidance for the operations and vision of ICH&B and meets on a regular schedule. The advisory board is currently made up of:

• Susie Richards - South Whidbey Engagement Center Program Director and South Whidbey School District Learning and Community Engagement (LACEP) Program Director.

In addition to these members, the advisory team consists of all site Ameircorps volunteers and a representative from the ICH&B Youth Advisory Team.
