Roles for Youth at Island Coffeehouse and Books

A Wide range of opportunities exist for youth through Island Coffeehouse and Books. Some of these include:

• Great job-training experience
• The opportunity to earn high school internship credit (through both Bayview School and South Whidbey High School) through a work-based learning experience
• Apprenticeship placements through Langley Middle School's Apprenticeship Program
• Service opportunities through the LACEP program and other programs in which youth need to engage in service within the community
• college scholarships through the Educational Awards Program (EAP)
• Culminating Project opportunities
• Showcasing youth art
• Music and poetry performances every Friday evening
